Online medical consultations

Driven by the health emergency context, we developed a virtual health care system to make on-call consultations, chat with doctors and conduct preliminary COVID-19 self-assessments. This web app, which aims to reduce the burden on emergency services, was made available to public hospitals along the country. It was implemented for the first time at the Dr. Ramón Carrillo hospital, in Bariloche.

Guardia En Línea optimizes the management of medical consultations, automatically ranking them according to the severity of symptoms.

The system allows patients to access on-call consultations from a mobile phone or to receive advice from health professionals, when faced with symptoms associated with COVID-19. Without the patient having to previously download an app, it can work from any mobile device connected to the Internet.

Moreover, it has a priority care system based on the classification of symptoms and pre-existing diseases. Doctors respond to inquiries by opening a chat or initiating a video call, and then the system sends a report of the interaction.
